Your score isn't sitting still — it's running from you. In CORE COLLAPSE, you play a lone pixel dashing through an endless neon grid, chasing a giant glowing number that bolts away every time you close the distance. Catch it and your score locks in, the world speeds up, and the number breaks into a new sprint. Fall behind and it vanishes, taking your run with it.

One button, split-second decisions: play it safe and bank small gains, or chase harder for bigger multipliers knowing one bad dodge ends the run. Procedurally shifting obstacle lanes mean no two chases play the same, and the only opponent is the high score you set five minutes ago.

Built for the Stop Killing Games Community Jam 2026 around the theme "CORE COLLAPSE" — literally. No always-online requirement, no server dependency: the game runs entirely client-side in the browser so it stays playable long after the jam ends, in keeping with the spirit of the movement it's named for.

I got to a final score of 885 and ended at level two. The game is alright, just a bit confusing to figure out at first.

I'm glad you liked the game
